The under 11 games are now hard ball and each innings will be sixteen [16] over’s.
Each side starts on 200
The batter bat in pairs, each batting 4 over’s and changing at the end of the fourth, eighth and twelfth over’s.
Batsman have unlimited lives but each fall of wicket shall result in 5 runs being deducted from the team score.
Batsman change ends at the fall of each wicket, except on the last ball of the over.
Each player except the keeper must bowl, no player can bowl more than 3 over’s.
The penalty for a wide ball and no ball – such a delivery will count and not be re-bowled – except during the last over of the innings.
Either umpire shall call no ball if a delivery bounces three or more times or rolls along the ground before reaching the popping crease.
The winning side will be the team scoring the most runs after the deductions for fall of wickets – ie the net score.
Everyone is to meet at West Bretton;
West Bretton is situated a mile from junction 38 of the M1. Take the road signed to Huddersfield (A637) and enter the village . A War Memorial will appear on the left going into the village. Just before it – turn left on to Park Lane. The cricket club is 200 yards on the left as you drive along Park Lane (WF4 4JT).
As regards PARKING…please arrive at and use the following address (just a 2 minute walk to the club)….
Bretton Memorial Institute
2a Bretton Lane
West Bretton WF4 4LB
Unfortunately due to a League Committee commitment I can’t be there for the game – so good luck everybody and remember we are there to enjoy the game!
Should the poor weather continue the game may be cancelled – you will be notified as soon as possible. I am aware that West Bretton have an artificial track so fingers crossed a game may take place.
Should anyone having been selected be unavailable to play – please notify me asap.
